LBX held a Dealer Service Skills Contest in Lexington, KY on June 3-4, 2025. Three technicians from North American dealerships competed: Jerome Martel – Terapro, Plaisance, QC, Canada; Jesse Lariviere – Equipment Sales & Service, Edmonton, AB, Canada; Drexler Hall – Triad Machinery, Portland, OR. Contestants worked on Link-Belt X4 and X3 machines during the event.
Choosing a winner was difficult, as all the technicians did an outstanding job. After much consideration, LBX is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2025 Lexington Service Skills Contest is Jesse Lariviere from Equipment Sales & Service. Jesse Lariviere demonstrated his Link-Belt service and product knowledge as well as his ability to identify components and troubleshoot issues systematically.
Jesse Lariviere will travel to Japan to participate in the 2025 Sumitomo Global Service Skills Contest, scheduled for November 5-6, 2025. This is an international skills contest for service technicians from Sumitomo Sales Companies, dealers, and LBX dealers.
At the 2023 Sumitomo Skills Contest in Chiba, Japan, Louis-Jacques Côté from Micanic in Québec City, Canada, achieved impressive results. He secured first place in hydraulic component overhaul, third place in engine parts replacement, and an excellent sixth place overall.
