LBX presented Micanic service technician Louis-Jacques Côté with an award for winning the 2019 Dealer Service Skills Contest, held earlier this year in Lexington, KY. The award was given on October 23 at Micanic’s offices in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. During the contest, Louis-Jacques demonstrated his Link-Belt service and product knowledge as well as his ability to systematically identify the problem areas of the excavator quickly.
Louis-Jacques will travel to Japan to participate in the 2020 Sumitomo Skills Contest, scheduled for October 24, 2020 in Japan. This is an international skills contest for service technicians from Sumitomo and LBX dealerships.
It should be noted that a service team from Micanic—including Jean-Francois Picard—earned 2nd place in the maintenance and inspection competition at the 2017 Sumitomo Skills Contest, held October 21, 2017 at the Sumitomo Katori Factory in Katori, Japan. Micanic also finished in fifth place in the troubleshooting contest that year.
